The Long Island based charity, Pinktie, announced that it has partnered with Keller Williams Realty and Late Night Chauffeurs to expand its efforts to feed to families in Long Island and New York City. Through the new Doorstep Donation Food Drive, Pinktie and Keller Williams volunteers will pick-up and drop-off donations to partnering nonprofits and food banks. Residents who want to donate text their name, address and schedule a pickup time Tuesday - Saturday 11am-7pm to (415) 787-4660.

“We are very excited to join Pinktie and support families in need during this unpredictable time. Right now, we need more local businesses and their employees to volunteer,” says Rich Amato, Operating Principal for Keller Williams of Greater Nassau.

Pinktie launched its donation delivery program last week, dubbed, “Pinktie Delivers.” The program has successfully delivered over 500 pounds of grocery donations to partnering food pantries in Long Island and aims to donate nearly 10,000 pounds of groceries.

“There is an urgent need to feed the thousands of people who have been hit hard by mass layoffs caused by the pandemic. We are excited to partner with Keller Williams and remain united as a community, even if it’s from a distance.” said Mike Cave, Founder of Pinktie.

The world has already changed by the pandemic and there is more to come. Corporations or businesses can participate by creating their own Doorstep Donation Food Drive and give to organizations of their choice, including local food pantries. Pinktie benefits local organizations, with a focus on research, education and health and all funds stay where they are raised. The organization enlists the help of Long Island's business professionals and raises funds and awareness to create greater hyper-localized impact for the greater New York community.
